An economic and trade delegation from the city of Dalian, in Northeast China's Liaoning province, held a Dalian-New Delhi conference, in the capital of India to promote Dalian among Indian businesses and increase cooperation and development for both parties.
The mayor of Dalian, Li Wancai, who joined the delegation, explained that Dalian has seen some great changes during China's opening-up and reforms of the past 30 years, and attributed its development to the efforts of its people and the support of foreign countries, such as India. Quite a number of Indian companies, such as the Tata Group have cooperated with Dalian in such fields as IT, logistics, and manufacturing.
Li said he hopes Dalian can strengthen its partnership with India's businesses and provide a better investment environment and services for exchanges and cooperation.
Indian entrepreneurs have shown more interest in investing in Dalian and had plenty of questions on investment projects and policies at the conference.
